Stock Your Freezer Using The Time You Are Already In The Kitchen
from:Who wouldn't love to have their freezer stocked with homemade meals so that you can just come home and heat the meal? Many people think this takes a lot of effort to coordinate, but actually you can do it in the time you are already in the kitchen.
Here are some tips to get you started:
- Plan some meals that your family likes that can be frozen
- Cook that meal one night times 4. Make 4 sets of that meal instead of just 1.
- Eat one meal that night and put the other 3 meals in the freezer
You can do this once a week or once a month or any time you want. It's very adaptable to your needs. If you work during the week and want to do one quadruple meal on the weekends, it will save you lots of time during the week.
Multiplying just one meal a week can net you 12 meals in the freezer by the end of the month! Doubling meals is great but quadrupling multiplies so much faster and doesn't require much extra effort. You still have all the pots and ingredients out. Why not just add some extra?
This concept has revolutionized my view of cooking and I love sharing it with others. You should be able to spend time with your family or on other things rather than slaving away in the kitchen.
This also saves time doing dishes because on the night that you heat the meal the only dishes you have to do are the serving dishes, plates and silverware. All the pots, measuring spoons and bowls were washed on the day that you made the quadruple meal.
