from:Little Miss Muffet is the famous girl from an old nursery rhyme. In it she is eating curds and whey. When you think about it that doesn’t sound like very delightful eating for a little girl. This is the type of cheese curds most of use see at our local deli. Most people don’t buy too many cheese curds at one time because they only last for a couple days. After that they will become dry and too salty to enjoy. If you place cheese curds in the refrigerator they will lose their wonderful taste.
Cheese curds can be quite expensive because you have to get them to the location within 12 hours. Otherwise they will have lost most of their flavor. They can still be eaten after 12 hours but they won’t be as good. Even with the technology we have today there aren’t too many shipping methods that allow the cheese curds to be delivered within that time frame.
